This oeuvre is about creating your own path in life using your own

power and your own path in the paintings using the brush and lines.

The concept began as a repeated layering, color mixing,

shape, and line study. In my first piece, I included hexagrams from the

ancient Chinese oracle, “I-Ching” a book of lessons that (for me) provides

a strong sense of patience, wisdom and understanding of timing

with the universe. There are 36 I-Ching hexagrams and they have

meanings ranging from “power of the great” to “the creative”. This

idea developed from the I-Ching hexagrams to layering squares and

lines on top of the shapes creating a 3-D affect. There is no one path

to take for your journey; nothing is definite. There is no label, stereotype,

category, name, that can begin to make anyone understand

things that can never be understood. This is the reason why my paintings

are called “Untitled Journey”. A title would define and end the

pulse of the paintings. For they are conscious beings, forever evolving,

and open for all possibilities. It’s all about the layers of infinite

journeys, the journeys in the paintings and the journeys in life. Therefore,

my paintings are never finished as long as they are in my possession,

just as the journey of a human’s growth is never finished as well.

The hardships and stressful times in our lives make up the amazing

moments of accomplishment. Just as in the paintings the “ugly” layers

I fought will still show in the end and make up the beauty in the masterpiece.

 ART is a reflection of the creators soul. As the

collection progressed I began to find pieces of me in the paintings and

that is how I knew it went from therapy to a VISION. Every painting has

its own consciousness, aura and essence reflecting my soul and journey

of artistic endeavors. There are many ingredients that make up my artistic

expressions and I look forward to you watching this journey unfold to another
